Songs for the Deaf es el tercer álbum de estudio de Queens of the Stone Age. Lanzado el 27 de agosto de 2002 por Interscope Records. Como en anteriores trabajos, la participación de artistas en los discos de QOTSA es muy extensa, pero de entre todas las colaboraciones destaca la de Dave Grohl, líder de Foo Fighters y, recordado sobre todo por ser el batería de Nirvana. Desde el fatal desenlace que acabó con la vida de Kurt Cobain y su banda, nadie salvo Josh Homme logró que Grohl volviese a meterse en un estudio como batería.
